Professional Cosmetic Tattooing

What’s the difference?
Whether you’re new to the industry or looking to refine your technique, here’s how to select the training pathway that suits your experience and goals:
Both training options include hands-on, in-person sessions in Sydney and flexible online pre-learning you can complete at your own pace.
All graduates receive a Certificate of Attendance, which legally enables you to offer cosmetic tattoo services such as eyebrow tattooing, lip blush, and eyeliner tattooing.
Accredited courses go a step further, providing a Certificate of Attainment recognised nationally through a third-party Registered Training Organisation (RTO), adding extra professional credibility.
Why choose
non-accredited training?
Non-accredited programs like ours focus on delivering expert-led, comprehensive training with unlimited support—designed to get you confidently working in the beauty industry quickly. Our nationally recognised Certificate of Attendance ensures you can start offering services immediately, with the practical skills and business tools needed to succeed.
Why choose
accredited training?
Accredited training gives you a nationally recognised qualification with formal assessments. It adds more credibility to your resume and is ideal if you want to work in strict or regulated environments. This type of training can also lead to further education or government funding in some cases. Keep in mind, accredited courses usually take longer because of extra paperwork and rules.

Do I Need Accreditation to Offer Cosmetic Tattooing Services in Australia?
The short answer is: No, accreditation is not currently a legal requirement to offer cosmetic tattooing services in most parts of Australia. Industry regulations vary by state, but at this time, you do not need a nationally accredited certificate to perform services like lip blush tattooing, eyebrow tattooing (nano brows, ombré brows), eyeliner tattooing, or areola paramedical tattooing.
However, while accreditation is not mandatory, you’ll still need high-quality, structured training to gain confidence, learn safe techniques, and build a successful business. That’s why many students choose non-accredited training programs with a nationally recognised Certificate of Attendance, like the ones offered at the Academy of Future Aestheticà.
We always recommend that you check with your insurance provider to ensure you meet their policy requirements. Most reputable providers accept Certificates of Attendance from recognised trainers. We suggest using Sparrow Insurance, one of Australia’s leading cosmetic tattooing insurance providers, who support many of our graduates.
